MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) – India is grateful to Belarus for the support in the negotiations on the agreement on cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Pankaj Saxena told a press conference timed to the national holiday of India – Republic Day, BelTA has learned.
“India suggested an agreement on cooperation with the EEU,” the diplomat noted. “The talks are in progress, they are very active right now.”
“We are grateful to Belarus for the support. Your country also supported us in the past,” Pankaj Saxena said.
The Ambassador expressed confidence that as soon as the agreement is signed, India's trade with the EEU countries will increase.
