Collector visits Maoist stronghold
Visakhapatnam: District collector Pravin Kumar visited Injari village, a Maoist stronghold in Visakha Agency, on Monday and interacted with the tribals as part of the Sadbhavana Yatra. He is the only collector to have visited the area in the past four decades.
The collector was accompanied by rural SP Rahuldev Sharma and ITDA project officer Ravi Pattan Shetti. He also had lunch with the tribals after distributing pensions while the cops conducted a medical camp.

The collector ordered the concerned officials to set up an Anganwadi centre in the village within 45 days and also to update beneficiary details of the pension scheme, ration card and Aadhaar card. He also sanctioned roads in all the villages in the panchayats under the food for work scheme.
