Back in 2014, the Adidas PureBoost was the first time most people got a first glimpse at what Boost even is. The squishy, foamy, bouncy material has since gone on to define the success—both cultural and financial—of Adidas's last few years. And after bringing Boost to running shoes, basketball shoes, Yeezys, and even Adidas Originals (via the NMD), the brand has revisited its first Boost sneaker and made it the best of the bunch. Introducing the all-new, re-designed. Adidas PureBoost.

The most notable new features on the revamped PureBoost are ones that take cues from a multitude of other Adidas Boost sneakers. There's the sock-like Primeknit upper, the general Yeezy-ish aesthetic (note the hiking laces and loops), and of course the fully exposed Boost sole, while also bringing new features to the forefront—coolest of all, the double wrap tongue that means everyone gets the same snug fit regardless of their foot or running style. Really, these PureBoosts aren't just re-designed but are completely re-invented. And frankly they're our favorite ones yet.

They just debuted last week in an Oreo-ish black/white color scheme, but this Wednesday, the gray/maroon version you see here will hit the market. Of course these kicks are intended for running through the streets or getting your sweat on in the gym, but like most Boost styles they pull double duty as a super-stylish sneaker that'll look great with slim sweats or jeans while still being the most comfortable damn things you ever slipped on your feet. (You know, other than your trusty Ugg slippers.)
