What? Atif Aslam Concert molester may be the victim himself!

Atif Aslam recently came into limelight for calling out a man misbehaving with female fans at a live concert in Karachi, Pakistan. The Pakistani singer received accolades from across the world for standing up against the ill conduct at his show and was praised for being the knight in shining armour who rescued the girl. However, there is a new twist in this tale. The guy who was blamed for molesting and abusing the girls at the Atif Aslam concert recently shared his side of the story which makes him the victim. The boy, who is a student of IBA revealed that he was merely trying to do his job and Atif misjudged the situation.

The boy spoke to Daily Pakistan under anonymity and said that he was in charge of the security in that area and had to make sure that nobody traveled from the non-VIP section to the VIP section without proper passes. The girls accompanied by a guy friend were trying to force their way into the front row when the victimised boy tried to stop them. When he asked the girls for their passes, they got violent and began scratching him in the face and neck with their long nails.  Atif Aslam stops concert midway to rescue girl from being eve-teased

“My job was to ensure that nobody crosses over from the non-VIP section to the VIP section without a valid ticket. I saw two girls accompanied by a guy passing over from the non-VIP section and forcing their way to the front row, like a lot of other people were also doing. There was a lot of rush in the front of the stage, and these people were continuing to push through. I confronted these people and politely asked them to either show their VIP pass or go back to their section, which they refused. That is when these girls started getting violent. They started scratching at my neck and face with their long nails, they slapped me on the face, punched me and invited a whole mob against me. It was exactly at this point when these girls were scratching at my face violently, and the boy who accompanied them was punching my face and kicking me, Atif Aslam saw us.”, the boy said in the interview.

He went on to say that Atif made judgments from what he saw and asked the crowd to “rescue the girls” after which the entire mob began beating this boy. The boy went on to point out how a man can be hit without a chance for clarification and how our society blindly believes women. While this point is taken into consideration, it is important to note that various women at the concert were molested and although this boy claims to be the victim, other incidences cannot be ignored. The reason behind the delay of this report is the IBA is currently investigating the issue and is yet to reveal their judgement. While we have seen many stories where the men have been used in similar ways by women who want to get away with things, the real story of the event will only be revealed in times to come.
