KOCHI: It was an evening to remember. Golden oldies and some hit numbers filled the air as they crooned ‘Sundari nee thumbu kettiyitta...’ and ‘Sagarangale padi padi....’ In a never before business event organised by Destination Kerala business magazine, the CXOs of an array of companies were seen belting out their favourite songs for a cause.

The event CCKK (CEOs Croon for Kerala Kids) had over 15 participants who came together to bring cheer to the underprivileged children suffering from liver related disorders as part of their social responsibility.

They sang Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi songs supported by live orchestra before an invited audience.
“I am here as a music lover and I believe art can help a lot in the betterment of society, said Divya S Iyer IAS, Sub-Collector, Thiruvananthapuram who sang ‘Vaseegara..,’ the Tamil hit from the film Minnale.

Dr Sandhya K S, CEO, SK Hospital went for the the nostalgic duet ‘Chandriakalyilalinnu...’ which she rendered with Binu Jacob, MD & CEO, Experion Technologies, Technopark. While Sabari Rathen M, Director at PRS Hospital opted for a melodious ‘Ennavale adi ennvale’, Aardra Chandra Mouli, MD, Aeka Biochemicals sang the captivating ‘Chaanchaadiyaadi...’ from the film Makalkku. Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism, Cooperation and Devaswom, who was present at the event, appreciated the organisers and participants.  

Rajeev ONV, Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board; V S Jayachandran, Co-founder, Mansions Properties; Anand Sarma, GM & Head of Startup Business Incubation, KSIDC; N Ayyappan IAS, CEO, VKL Group; Sheila James, Czarina Designer Boutique; D Chandrasenan Nair, CEO, Hotel Pankaj; Sobha Ashwin, Founder, Weavers Village; Biju Nair, CEO, Acolade Software, Technopark; Renjith Ramanujam, CEO, Group of Technology Companies (GTech) and Vijay Kumar P, CEO, Testhouse India & Middle East, Technopark were the others in the singer’s panel. CCKK’s first edition was held in Kochi and the event received a great response.
