The Chairman of the Osun State House of Assembly Committee on Information and Strategy, Mr. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has urged the Nigerian Air Force not to allow the accidental bombing of the Internally Displaced Persons’ camp to dampen its morale in the fight against Boko Haram.

Oyintiloye, who said this in a statement in Osogbo on Sunday, said the killing of innocent people through the accidental bombing was sad, urging NAF to sustain the tempo of the war against Boko Haram.

He commiserated with the families of the victims, the Borno State Government and the people of the state and wished the injured victims a speedy recovery.

He said the victory of the Nigerian Army in clearing the Sambisa Forest, which was  the hideout of Boko Haram, was a strong signal that the end of the terror group had come.

The lawmaker stated, “The accidental bombing of the IDP camp in Rann, in which innocent civilians lost their lives, is regrettable and it is my prayer that God will console the families of the victims.

“I want to commend the NAF and the military for their efforts in bringing lasting peace to the nation but they should always coordinate their operational strategies well to avoid this kind of sad occurrence again.

Oyintiloye also called on the Federal Government to provide all the necessary help  to those who were  injured and the families of those who lost their lives.
