A Dasa Sil Matha is seen sitting in front of the historic Dalada Maligawa in Kandy where she has embarked on a non-stop hunger strike saying that the present government is trying to divide the country by amending the Constitution.

She has opted to remain anonymous and will continue to protest against the high-handed actions of the government. (J.A.L. Jayasinghe)

This action is an insult to the Dhamma. Their is no place in the Dhamma for acts such as suicide and self inflicting activities and worse when it is done by a Buddhist Clergy.
