Nothing like a single malt in the company of delightful food curated by a Michelin star chef on a wintry night. That’s exactly what Glenfiddich hosted with celebrated chef Manish Mehrotra at the Indian Accent on Friday night. Mehrotra curated a culinary delight to compliment the Glenfiddich 21-year-old single malt whisky for select malt aficionados (though many weren’t) of Delhi.

James Pennefather of William Grant and Sons explained the delicate nuances of the 21-year-old malt as Chef Mehrotra served the utterly delicious dishes. Co-hosts of the evening, Archana Vijaykar and Dheeraj Puri, invited the capital’s glam-gang; irrespective of being malt aficionados or not.

There was A D Singh (who launched Lady Baga restaurant last Sunday), Simran Lal of Good-Earth, cricketer Murali Kartik and his wife Shweta, businessman Sunjay Kapur with his beau Priya Sachdev and entrepreneur Arjun Sharma and his wife Jyotsna. There were fashion designers such as Rohit Gandhi, Nikhil and Shantanu Mehra with their spouses.
All-in-all, it turned out to be a chilled-out night.
