AC Milan are still in negotiations with Everton over a loan for Gerard Deulofeu, the Italian club's CEO Adriano Galliani says.
Milan announced the signing of Deulofeu on their Twitter account on Friday, before multiple reports said Everton officials were furious at the Italian side's premature announcement.
Milan then deleted the tweet, leaving confusion until Galliani told Mediaset Premium on Saturday that talks were still ongoing.
"I am authorised to say that the negotiations for Deulofeu are continuing," he told Mediaset Premium.
Galliani would not reveal any further updates on the progress of the talks, saying only: "The only thing I can say is that the negotiations continue."
Everton manager Ronald Koeman said on Thursday that he would not stand in Deulofeu's way from moving after freezing out the player in recent weeks.
