Pranay Tamma and Sharan Kanugovi retained their titles in the Spoors State Ranking Tennis Tournament in the boys’ category while in the girls’ category, Ikaraju K.,K. Malishka and Saumya Ronde scored big wins at the tournament organised by the Surya Tennis foundation
In the boys under-10 category, continuing the winning streak was Sri Pranay Tamma who scored a 6-2 win over Chaitra Darshan Reddy to clinch the final match played at Pallavi School, located at Bowenpally in Secunderabad.
Meanwhile, Sree Sharan Kanugovi won both the U-12 and U-14 category matches by outsmarting rivals Anish Reddy Kancharla —in U-12 — with the scoreline reading 6-3 and Prathnav Masabatula — in U-14 — with the score as 6-2.
The girls too showed their talent too to emerge as the title winners. In the Under-10 girls category, Ikaraju K. aced a 6-2 win over S. Sai Sahasra.
In another match, K. Malishka took the honours by winning over Saumya Ronde with 6-4 in the under-12 girls category and in U-14 girls category, Saumya Ronde scored a 6-1 win over M. Srivally to grab the title.
Prathnav Masabatula and Shree Sharan Kanugovi emerged as victors in the boys under 14 category while M. Srivally and Saumya too won in the girls under-14 category to advance into the finals. In the boys U-14 semifinals, Prathnav beat Rohit Iyer with a score of 6-4 while Sree Sharan dominated K. Likith Reddy with a stunning 6-0.
And Sree continued his dominance even into the U-12 semifinals. He outclassed Lalith Mohan Anne 6-2. Anish Reddy Kancharla also scored a comfortable win against Harshavardhan Reddy with a 6-1 score.
Meanwhile, Ikaraju took the top honours in the semifinals of the girls U-10 by defeating S. Ratna Saharsa 6-3 while S. Sai Sahasra edged past Rishitha Basi Reddy 6-1.
Ikaraju maintained her winning streak in the U-12 category too by beating S. Sai to advance into the finals while Saumya Ronde overpowered Nirali Padaniya with a score of 6-1.
Saumya entered in the finals of the U-14 too by beating K. Malishka while M. Srivally also moved into finals of the U-14 by beating Sai Dhiti.
