Mohanlal on mindfulness

Mohanlal on mindfulness
Mohanlal's latest blog is on something which has nothing to do with current issues, as he usually writes about, but about mindulness. The actor recently came across the book At Home in the World by Thich Nhat Hanh, he writes. What attracted him about the book is the concept of mindfulness he talks about, which, he says, is a beautiful state of mind. Whatever you do, if you do it in a state of mindfulness, will become meditation.
Meditation, in buddhist terminology, is a kind of blooming, towards a full life. The greatest calamity that could happen to a man is loss of hope, he says. "I try to imbibe mindfulness in my life as well, to a great extent. Like the Buddhist guru, I too choose a middle path in everything... Anyone can be Buddha is one tries. Anyone who tries to understand humanity with kindness...I too have a long way to go before I follow the path of the Buddhist mendicant. I don't know what awaits me at the end of the path. Maybe it would be a blue pond with a flowering tree by its side. I will sit there in the shade, breathing fresh air with stars in the sky. I would call that state of mind, mindfulness," he concludes.
