AAP vice president, other leaders join Punjab Congress, alleging widespread corruption in Kejriwal's party

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab on Saturday suffered another major setback with its state vice president Tarseem Singh Gandhar joining the Punjab Congress along with some others leaders.Gandhar, who was also zonal incharge of Anandpur and Hoshiarpur, had been associated with AAP for three years, working hard to built the party base in Punjab, only to be frustrated on being asked for Rs. 1 crore to contest the assembly polls on the party ticket.

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president welcomed Gandhar, along with other AAP leaders Jaspal Singh (Sarpanch, Brajwala), Satnam Singh and Harjinder Singh.Welcoming the new joinees in the party, Captain Amarinder said that AAP was crumbling and would face a massive defeat in the Punjab polls, with its leader Arvind Kejriwal having been complete exposed as a selfish and corrupt individual out to promote his personal interests.Meanwhile, leaders from several other organisations also joined the Congress. Prominent among them were retired Inspector, Punjab Police and Chairman Gurdwara Sukhmani Sahib, Jalandhar; Kashmir Singh Ghuman, retired Inspector Punjab Police; Hardev Singh, Vice-President Gurdwara Sukhmani Sahib; Lakhwinder Singh Sidhu and Labh Singh Bajwa, President Market Guru Nanak Pura Jalandhar; Jaswinder Singh Billa and Ranvir Singh Pannu.
