Rs 8,118 crore loans to Nakoda Group companies under CBI lens

Ahmedabad: Rs 8,118 crore loans given to 13 different companies of Nakoda Group by Punjab National Bank Investment and Canara Bank is now under CBI lense. Nakoda Group companies got Rs 4097.10 crore loans from Canara Bank, Rs 3584 crore loans from PNB Investment, Rs 60.90 crore loan from Syndicate Bank, Rs 95.50 crore loan from Union Bank, Rs 90 crore loan from Central Bank of India, Rs 50 crore loan from Andhra Bank, Rs 30 crore loan from Corporate Bank, Rs 4 crore loan from Gujarat State Financial Service and Rs 4.50 crore loan from Gujarat Industrial Investment Private Ltd in last four years. Hos loss making 13 companies were offered loan, fraud in valuation, suspicious role of officers etc are the dimensions on which Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) is looking into.
