In order to prep for Bhallala Deva's character, Rana was deeply influenced by Kamal Haasan's Nayagan, which is touted as one of the finest Indian films ever made.

Speaking at the event, Rana said, "He (Kamal Haasan) is probably one of the finest actors that this country has ever seen. He remains a reference, an encyclopedia for actors across generations."

Rana Daggubati, who recently completed his portions for Baahubali 2, will be next seen in The Ghazi Attack, which is tipped to be India's first war-at-sea film.

Meanwhile, the teaser launch of Baahubali 2, which was supposed to happen on January 26, has been postponed.

Reports also suggest that the much-anticipated trailer of the sequel will be out in February.

However, we await an official confirmation regarding the same.

Baahubali: The Beginning, which hit the screens in 2015, was highly successful and grossed Rs 600 crore worldwide.

The film starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj is slated to release on April 28, 2017.
