HYDERABAD: MIM leaders led by Chandrayangutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi along with corporators of old city met GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy and discussed about developmental works like Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), Charminar Pedestrian Project, Hyderabad Metro Rail project and improving of civic amenities in old city to attract more tourists to Charminar.
In the light of proposed flyovers under SRDP in old city, they discussed about the overlapping metro rail alignments, if any in near future. Akbar Owaisi also requested the GHMC Commissioner to provide exclusive bridge on Musi River to rehabilitate the street vendors of old city.He also requested improving of the existing Chandrayangutta flyover and maintaining the Clock Tower at Murgi Chowk.
HMR Managing Director NVS Reddy and senior officials from GHMC and HMR participated in the meeting. HMR officials said that the topic of metro alignment hadn’t come up.
