SHIKARPUR: The Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) on Thursday arranged a protest rally against the North Sindh Urban Services Corporation (NSUSC) and the poor condition of sanitation in the city. The rally was led by JUI-F Sindh General Secretary Rashid Mehmood Soomro. It started from Plaza Cinema and terminated at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, after marching through various city roads, where its participants recorded their protest against poor cleanliness and drainage system. Speaking on the occasion, Rashid Soomro condemned the policies of the Sindh government as well as the local district administration. Deputy Commissioner Sikandar Ali Khushk came out of his office and assured the protesters that the district administration would try its level best to improve cleanliness within three months. Later, the participants of the rally dispersed peacefully.
