J.K. Rowling says there's no 'Cursed Child' trilogy, but we think she should change her mind

J.K. Rowling, the woman behind Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and the reason I own a Hufflepuff sweatshirt, broke some bad news today.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the play running in London that continues the story of Harry Potter as an adult, focusing on his middle child with Ginny Weasley. It’s also available in script form for those of us who can’t jet to London all willy nilly.

With all due respect, Ms. Rowling, WHY NOT? I want to know more about the lives of Ginny and Harry and Ron and Hermione and Neville Longbottom  and Luna Lovegood and even Draco Malfoy. Who are the teachers at Hogwarts now? What house is dominating in Quidditch? Will my fellow Hufflepuffs ever win the House Cup? I need to know.

Sure, sure, I get it. You’re busy working on the next bunch of movies in the Fantastic Beasts world. There will be five total, and we will learn much more about the magical world. That’s pretty cool, too.
