Bursa Malaysia to close for CNY and Federal Territory Day

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd will close for trading in the afternoon on Friday, Jan 27, and all day on Monday, Jan 30, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.

The exchange will resume operations on Tuesday, Jan 31, it said in a statement.

However, clearing and settlement services provided by Bursa Malaysia Securities Clearing; depository services provided by Bursa Malaysia Depository; and clearing and settlement operations of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Bhd will continue as usual on Jan 27.

Bursa Malaysia Securities office will remain open until the end of business day.

Bursa Malaysia will again close on Federal Territory Day, Feb 1 (Wednesday), and resume operations the following day.
