DB Corp, the publisher of dailies such as DNA, Dainik Bhaskar and Divya Bhaskar, reported digital revenues of Rs 16.2 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 (Q3 FY17). This represents a growth of 33% from Rs 12.3 crore in the same quarter last year. On a sequential basis, the Internet business reported an increase of 15.8% from Rs 13.8 crore. The segment reported a loss before tax of Rs 3.67 crore which narrowed from Rs 5.37 crore in the same quarter last year. The Internet segment accounts for just 2.57% of DB Corp’s operational income which was at Rs 630.9 crore for the quarter. The company’s print business still dominates its operational revenues, accounting fo rover 90% DB Corp’s operational income for the quarter. Last year, DB Corp launched Homeonline.com, a real estate portal. It had been investing in Homeonline for a year in order to keep its real estate segment ‘strong and protected.’ The website is live for Raipur and Bhopal currently. DB Corp has also invested in Post Pickle, an English language website aimed at youth and women. The website claimed reached 1 million visitors, although the company does not mention if they’re unique or overall.
