Entry fee implemented at newly opened Riverfront Flower Park

Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) has started entry fee system for newly opened Riverfront Flower Park.
The flower park which is situated on the upper promenade of Sabarmati riverfront west just behind the Tagore hall and V.S. hospital has become second park that has entry fee. The first park with entry fee was riverfront garden located next to Subhash bridge.
Entry for physically challenged and children below 5 years is free while for school trip(principal’s letter required) the entry fee for each person is Re 1. For senior citizen(above age 60 years) the entry fee is Rs 10, same for children between 5-12 years. For persons above 12 years age, the entry fee is Rs 20.
Entry fee is applicable between 9 am to 10 pm. Entry tickets are not issued after 9 pm. The flower park is closed at 10 pm and completely closed on Mondays. There are three gates on the frontal side of flower park, of which one remains opened for visitors at present. Food stall of the park are open to all without entry charge. But for a walk alongside an artificial water body, green house etc, entry fee is required.
