The Ryan Minithon 2017 witnessed the participation of 9817 students from 41 schools

Around 9817 sporty and enthusiastic students from over 41 different schools in Mumbai participated in the Grand Ryan Minithion 2017 held at St. Lawrence High School, Eksar Road, Borivali – W on January 15, 2017 . The groups were allotted as per different age groups

Snehal Pinto, Director of Ryan Global Schools, flagged off the races.

Six prizes in each category were awarded to students.

The overall points of each race decided the Championship Trophy .

The second session of the event was an entertaining programme organised by various participating schools for the invited dignitaries and sports personalities hailing from different fields of sports.

The programme began with a prayer, welcome speeches, song and dance performances followed by the prize distribution.

The race was flagged off at 6.45 a.m. and the prize distribution was at 9 a.m.

The VIPs present were Pastor Jayan Vargese, Arun Satpute, Fiona Fernandes, Prashant Kadu, R.K Yesankar, Lt.Commander Pankaj Chavan, Lt. Lehar, Col. Ramesh Chandra, Col. Diwan, Satyasheel Divecha and Selma D’Silva.

The overall championship went to St. Aloysius High School, Nalasopara; St. Xavier’s High School, Andheri was the first runner-up and St. Joseph High School, New Panvel was the second runner-up.
