There will be a Cork team in this year's Harty Cup final after Liam O'Shea's injury-time goal eliminated holders Ardscoil Rís at Bansha to set up a semi-final with St Colman's of Fermoy.

A week ago, Ardscoil had managed to engineer a draw in this quarter-final tie and they looked to have made the most of the second chance when up by a point as the game moved beyond the 60-minute mark.

However, Midleton - the last Cork school to win the title, in 2006 - won a penalty which O'Shea converted, going for a goal rather a point to level the game in a dramatic finale. With Ardscoil having led by 0-6 to 0-5 at half-time, Midleton seized control after that, Liam Gosnell's goal followed by points from Charlie Terry and O'Shea.

Ardscoil struck back, with Brian Ryan their primary threat, but despite being reduced to 14 men, Midleton were able to grab the winner.
