Aditya Khanna in semifinals

Aditya Khanna got past third seed Dilip Mohanty, as the latter retired midway through the second set in the over-35 age group of the ITF grade-4 seniors’ tennis tournament here on Thursday.

Aditya led 6-2, 3-1 when Mohanty retired.

In the semifinals, Aditya will play second seed Nishant Goel. The other semifinal will be between top seed and former national champion Vinod Sridhar and Himanshu Shankar who battled past fourth seed Mohit Phogat.

In the over-55 age group, Puneet Kumar Gupta beat second seed Pawan Jain 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.
