Rich tributes were paid to Yogi Vemana on his jayanthi at Reddy Samkshema Sangham old age home on the outskirts of Kurnool city on Thursday.

Sangham president P. Narasimha Reddy and secretary Vannur Reddy said Yogi Vemana was the first poet and humanist whose writings guided people of all religions and castes. Viswa Hindu Parishad State president Nandireddy Sai Reddy said Vemana philosophy was relevant in the present era also.

Sangham leaders Ramakrishna Reddy, Vikramasimha Reddy, Lokesh Reddy, Meenakshi Reddy, Reddy Yuvajana Samkshema Sangham secretary T. Pratap Reddy and leaders S. Lakshmikantham Reddy, Trilokanath Reddy and others took part in the programme.
