ADC flags off awareness rally

AMRITSAR: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sonali Giri flagged off a cycle rally from Karampura School for voter awareness under announcement of Sweep Programme today.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sonali Giri flagged off a cycle rally from Karampura School for voter awareness under announcement of Sweep Programme today.

She said programmes in regard to the upcoming Republic Day celebrations would aim at voter awareness and encourage people to exercise their right to vote. Giri also attended a special poster exhibition at government elementary school, Faizapur, in this regard.

January 25 will be celebrated as National Voter Day. More awareness programmes like “Walk for Vote” will be held at Company Bagh.

“We are doing everything possible in our capacity to reach out to maximum voters and ensure their involvement. As voters in the district will be voting for Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha poll, I urge them to be a part of the electoral process,” she said.
