Srinagar, January 19
Taking exception to the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which he had asked Pakistan to first stop terror and then expect a dialogue, hardline Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Geelani today said the statement was irrelevant and full of flaws.
In his statement, Geelani claimed that India itself was violating all norms and was involved in state-sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. He said it was unreasonable on part of Modi to blame Pakistan as that country was suffering and facing sponsored terrorism by the neighbouring country. Geelani blamed the security forces for the “bloodshed and massacres” in Kashmir.
Lashing out at New Delhi, Geelani said that Modi has never come out with reality about what he claimed “its brute force” and had never uttered a single word about the “brutalities committed” in Jammu and Kashmir.
While referring to PM’s address in Raisina dialogue, India’s flagship geo-political conference, Geelani said the civilian killings were unacceptable and we should condemn them. He said state-sponsored terrorism was more serious and treacherous and there was a need to condemn it and take measures to check it. — TNS
