Chamba, January 19
The state government has nominated Hardeep Singh of Chamba town as a member (government nominee) of the Municipal Council (MC) of Chamba.
A notification to this effect was issued by the state government recently.
Speaking to mediapersons here today, Hardeep Singh expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and former Cabinet minister Harsh Mahajan, who is chairperson of the state Cooperative Bank.
Expressing his priorities while working for the development of the town, Hardeep Singh assured that he would take the local MC into confidence first.
Hardeep Singh is a member of the Himachal Pradesh State Minorities Cell and a member of the district-level grievances committee and the president of the truck operators’ union. — OC
