A mother of two hanged herself to death in her house at Regimental Bazaar under the Gopalpuram police station limits on Thursday morning. Krishnaveni, the deceased, took the extreme step due to financial difficulties, said sub-inspector Gangadhar. He added that the lady’s husband had died two years ago and that the couple have a 10-year-old son and an eight-year-old daughter. A case was registered after the incident, which took place between 11.30 a.m. and 11.45 a.m.
Nabbed for selling ganja
Two persons in possession of 5.5 kilograms of ganja were arrested by West Zone Task Force and Langer House police officials. The accused were identified as P. Krishna Chary, a cook and P. Satish. They decided to sell ganja to make some quick bucks. Chary, a resident of Dhoolpet is facing financial difficulties and hence took to selling Ganja to earn more money. He used to give Satish ₹500 per day as commission to help him.
Property offenders held
Five notorious property offenders were arrested by the Task Force officials on Thursday and half-a-kilogram of gold ornaments, 2.5 kilograms of silver and two mobile phones were recovered from them. The five accused were identified as Mohd Khaleel alias Shareef (28), Mohd Sarwar (27), Nusavath Shiva alias Jabbar (22), Syed Majeed alias Jahangir (37) and Mohd Mahboob Ali (25). According to B. Limba Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police, they were involved in several property offences in the past in different police stations limits in Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda areas.
Mr. Reddy said that the gang had committed 11 house burglaries.
