Launching a scathing attack on her rival SAD candidate and Finance Minster Parminder Singh Dhindsa, former CM Rajinder Kaur Bhattal today alleged that Dhindsa did nothing for his previous constituency (Sunam). She filed her nomination papers from Lehragaga today.

“His poor performance is the only reason for his shifting to Lehragaga as he knows that Sunam will never vote for him again. Despite being an important minister in the SAD-BJP government, he did nothing for Sunam,” alleged Bhattal.

She said Dhindsa would face a defeat as people of Lehragaga knew about his “poor track record”.

Bhattal, who has won five consecutive elections from Lehragaga, was accompanied by party workers to the office of the Returning Office for filing her nomination.

She assured her supporters that Lehragaga would be made district after the formation of Congress government in state. “The state’s economy has been ruined by the Akalis and the state has been pushed into a debt trap,” she alleged.
