The national president of the Indian National Students Organisation Digvijay Singh Chautala said here today that Randeep Surjewala had no moral right to enter Haryana after expressing his support for Punjab during the release of the Congress manifesto a few days ago.

He said INSO workers would not allow him to speak or address any meeting if he did not submit an apology for his act against Haryanvis. Digvijay was addressing workers outside the Mini-Secretariat after burning of Surjewala’s effigy.

Accompanied by a large number of INSO workers, he submitted a memorandum for the Governor to Naib Tehsildar Sat Parkash Sharma, demanding expulsion of Surjewala from the Haryana Assembly.

He stated that INSO would hold a protest outside 10, Janpath, if Surjewala did not apologise within a week to the people of Haryana.

Digvijay said they would abide by the directive of INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala and oppose tooth and nail any party which took an anti-Haryana stand on the canal waters issue.

After the Supreme Court verdict in favour of Haryana on the Sutlej-Yamuna Link canal issue, Punjab had lost the legal battle and faced moral defeat, he asserted.

He said the time had come for Haryanvis to join hands to take their share of waters. He said the INLD and INSO would not hesitate in making any sacrifice to get the due share of the people of Haryana.

INSO state president Pardeep Deswal, INLD district president Kanwar Pal Karora and media coordinator Hardip Padla were present.
