Aircel-Maxis: order on charges on January 24

 A special court has fixed January 24 as the date for passing the order on
framing of charges against former Telecom minister Dayanidhi Maran, his brother Kalanithi Maran and other accused in the Aircel-Maxis deal case .

Special CBI Judge O P Saini took up the matter on Wednesday and rescheduled the hearing, saying the order was not yet ready.

Other petitions pending
The bail petitions of the Maran brothers and other accused are also pending with the court.
The judge is also expected to pass the order on the bail applications on January 24.
A special CBI court had on Monday deferred the order on framing of charges against Dayanidhi, Kalanithi and the others to January 18.
