The Aurora intersection where a truck full of manure spilled on January 18, 2016.

The Aurora Police Department issued a “stink alert” Wednesday after a truck carrying manure rolled over at a busy intersection.

The accident closed East Hampden Avenue at South Parker Road shortly after noon, according to the Aurora Fire Department’s Twitter account. The intersection reopened around 3:45 p.m.

No one was injured.

The fire department’s hazmat unit was called to clean the poop off the road.

The police department retweeted the fire department with a “stink alert” and then corrected itself to say “traffic alert.”

The incident may give some people an excuse for being late to work just like Chevy Chase’s detective character in the 1985 movie “Fletch.”
