A video of a popular Pakistani singer stopping his concert to rescue a woman from a group of people harassing her in the crowd has gained thousands of views and attention on social media.

In the video of a recent performance in Karachi, Atif Aslam can be seen stopping his bandmates from playing a song, then walking over to the edge of the stage where he points to a female audience member who was being harassed.

“Haven’t you seen a girl? Your mother or your sister could be here as well,” Aslam said in remarks directed towards the alleged harassers.

Aslam then motions towards the side of the stage where he asked security to “come and rescue her” so she can stand somewhere else. He then told the group of harassers to “act like human beings.”

The audience can be heard chanting “Atif” before Aslam goes back to performing.

According to the Daily Pakistan, dozens of girls were allegedly “molested and sexually harassed” at the concert which was overcrowded due to the event organizer overselling the show.
