La Liga side Alaves have made an approach to Leicester City for striker Leonardo Ulloa, according to Sky sources.

As Sky Sports News HQ reported on Tuesday, the Argentine is considering handing in a transfer request after making just one Premier League start this season.

Claudio Ranieri wants to keep him at the King Power stadium, however, and talks are ongoing between the club and Ulloa's representatives.

Ulloa has 18 months left on his contract but he has yet to be offered a new deal by the club. Unlike some other members of Leicester's title-winning squad, the striker was not offered improved terms in the summer, though he did receive the same bonuses as his team-mates.
