Jaguar Land Rover conquer Europe

Jaguar cars

JLR is picking the fruits of its year-long investments in product and network development. Thanks to the successful XE, XF and F-Pace, Jaguar broke its all-time sales record in 2016, selling nearly 150,000 vehicles worldwide – an increase of 77% over 2015. Boosted by the revamped Evoque and the new Discovery Sport, Land Rover’s customer base grew by 8% globally, to roughly 435,000 units.

That makes a group total of nearly 585,000 cars – which is almost three times the volume of 2009. Looking into detail, the highest growth figure is to be found in China (31%), with North America not far behind (25%). Europe remains Jaguar Land Rover’s largest sales region with annual sales of 139,000 vehicles, up 26% year on year.

Over the past five years, Jaguar Land Rover has doubled sales and employment, more than tripled turnover, and invested over £12 billion in new product creation and capital expenditure. To maintain its growth momentum, not least in corporate sales, the group is currently hiring international key account managers in United Kingdom, France, Germany and Benelux.
