GIRLS’ SOCCER

Sage Hill 3, Whitney 0

Olivia Lowe, Maya Roston and Alana Karro scored for the Lightning in the Academy League game on Tuesday.

Marina Wild produced an assist. Goalie Sarah Lowey made one save for Sage Hill (6-4-1, 3-1-0 in league).

The Lightning play host to St. Margaret’s on Friday at 5 p.m.

Pacifica Christian 8, New Roads Academy 0

Junior Isabel Hadley and sophomore Eunice Choi scored two goals each for the Tritons on Tuesday.

Freshmen Brooklyn Motske and Lindsay Herbert and sophomores Alyssa Smith and Sadie Hill also scored for Pacifica Christian.

Sophomore Maddie Alaluf made two assists, while freshmen Brooklyn Motske, Hill and juniors Mele Falasco and Olivia Garcia also had assists for the Tritons (11-1).

Newport Harbor 2, Fountain Valley 1 (OT)

Senior Sianna Siemonsma scored the golden goal in the third minute of overtime, assisted by sophomore Emily Johnson, to lift the Sailors in Tuesday’s Sunset League game.

Eva Nadeau also scored, assisted by Sadie Pitchess, for Newport Harbor (14-4-3, 2-3 in league).

Kylee Wilson scored for Fountain Valley (9-5-1, 0-4-1).

WRESTLING

Newport Harbor 54, Huntington Beach 21

Freshman Jonathan Sparks, in the 106-pound weight class, recorded a pin in 30 seconds and was one of six Sailors who won by fall in the Academy League dual meet on Tuesday.

Seniors Michael Craft (120 pounds) and Diego Naranjo (132), juniors Ernesto Martinez (138) and Xander Moreno (145) and sophomore Austin Osumi (195) also won by pin.
