Kohli could not have had a better start to his ODI captaincy in India's thrilling 351-run chase as he and Kedar Jadhav slammed centuries to script a sensational victory after being reduced to 63/4.

While Kohli slammed his 27th ODI ton, it was local boy Jadhav's second hundred that helped India win what looked like a losing battle inside the first 15 overs.

This was after Yuvraj Singh, who made his comeback, and former captain MS Dhoni failed to impress as they got dismissed for 15 and 6 respectively.

India now lead the three-match series 1-0. Kohli had earlier led India to a 4-0 victory against England in the five-match Test series.

The second ODI will be played on Thursday, January 19, at 1.30 pm. India will aim for a series-sealing victory with England looking to stay alive ahead of the final ODI in Kolkata on Sunday.
