BM&FBOVESPA has just published the fourth issue of its digital magazine, Resenha da Bolsa.

Always striving to produce and promote technical knowledge to contribute to the market's development, the latest issue of this publication has an exclusive interview with Ana Paula Vescovi, Brazil's National Treasury Secretary. She has worked on public policy formulation, and the monitoring of economic growth in Brazil. In the interview, Ana Paula Vescovi talks about the challenges of implementing fiscal reform in Brazil and states: 'A change of mindset is needed so that people no longer think more has to be spent on services in order to make them better. Not more spending but better spending - this is what we need.'

The five technical articles in this issue cover a range of current topics: a relative pricing model to enhance the performance of Brazilian sovereign debt portfolios; debt-equity hybrid financial instruments, discussed by Eliseu Martins, one of the leading Brazilian experts in accountancy; Smart Beta in the Brazilian equity market; DI x IPCA spread futures; and the impact of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on the financial indicators of Brazilian companies.

This issue also contains a brief history of the BM&FBOVESPA Athletics Club and an article about the 'father' of the exchange's indices, Rogerio Marques, who was there at the birth of 22 of the Exchange's 23 equity indices and witnessed milestones in the history of the financial and capital markets and of BM&FBOVESPA.'
