Ajay Devgn calls Salman Khan unfair! Read how Sultan has hurt the Singham star!

As if the clash between Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil wasn’t enough, seems like there’s another box office clash in the offing! This time between Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan! The two actors have been great friends ever since they starred together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Hum Dil Chuke Sanam that also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as their common love interest. But it seems the friendship may soon turn sour. It is no news that Ajay Devgn has been working on Sons Of Sardaar: Battle of Saragarhi for a while now. Recently Salman Khan and Karan Johar announced their co-production based on the epic battle. Ajay Devgn was obviously taken aback!

The story revolves around a battle of 1897 where braveheart Havildar Ishar Singh led 21 Sikhs against over 10,000 Afghan tribesmen. While Ajay will be playing the lead in his film, Akshay Kumar has been finalized in the Salman Khan – Karan Johar production. As per recent reports, Ajay Devgn was highly upset when he got to know that his good friend Salman will be pitting a film against the same subject against his production!

While talking to a leading daily, a source revealed that Ajay was shocked and didn’t believe the news at first. Salman and Ajay have known each other for decades and they are like family. The source further revealed that Ajay expressed his disappointment with Salman Khan through a heartwarming letter where he said that he didn’t expect Salman to hurt him like this. Ajay dubbed Salman’s act of announcing a film on the same subject as unfair and also requested to change the story line if possible. However, while there has been no further announcement about Salman’s film starring Akshay Kumar, a source close to the Khan revealed to the daily that Salman might have not known about Ajay’s film!

This is however not the first time that multiple films are being made on the same subject. It can be recalled that Ajay Devgn starred in and as Bhagat Singh in a period drama back in 2002 in The Legent of Bhagat Singh. The same year however, there were other films on the legendary hero. Sonu Sood’s Shaheed-E-Azam and Bobby Deol’s 23rd March 1931: Shaheed. This clashing of subjects of a film is not new for Ajay Devgn. We wonder what is making him upset over Salman Khan’s film! Is he afraid of the comparisons and competition he would have to face with Akshay Kumar? Whatever the case is, we trust Bollywood wallas to be creative enough so as to tweak the films so that they don’t look like a draggy copy of each other!
