The 2018 Honda CRV will give its drivers an experience at every green light. This is the sixth generation of the enormously popular Honda CR-V since 1995. The name CR-V is an acronym of the words ‘Comfortable Runabout Vehicle’. This car will be a mid-range utility vehicle.

According to Auto Mobile, the production of the 2018 Honda Civic might be moved from the plant in Indiana in the US to Japan. This could happen due to the fact that the sales of sedans have been falling in the United States. The space left at the Indiana plant might be filled by the Honda CR-V. Honda Civic hasn’t been sold in Japan since 2010 but things could change soon since the carmaker is reintroducing it in a bid to boost the image of Honda. Honda may build the Honda Civic for the market in Japan and they would rethink their product strategy. The sales of sedans keep slowing down and Honda believes that there could be a much better way to use the plant in Indiana to build the Honda CR-V at it.

Fab News reported that 2018 Honda CR-V will borrow the Honda Civic’s modular chassis. It is confirmed that Honda will renew its push into the turbocharged engine technology and the Civic’s all-new 1.5-litre four cylinder engine will make the cut. The new engine will put out 174 BHP at 6000 rpm. The wheelbase of the new car will be significantly improved from the current 103.1-inch option. The all-wheel-drive system will be also optional for the CR-V. The new Honda CR-V will feature a continuously variable automatic transmission and there is no charge in the standard front wheel drive feature. 2018 Honda CR-V is expected to be announced by the end of the 2017 and to launch in 2018. The pricing will be similar to 2017 Honda CR-V which comes between $25,000 and $34,295.
