Kay Re Rascalaa: Priyanka Chopra’s second Mararthi film goes on floors!

Priyanka Chopra's Kay Re Rascalaa went on floor in Mumbai recently.

Priyanka Chopra our very own Desi girl has grown from strength to strength ever since her debut in Bollywood. She tried her hands in variety of roles before taking a plunge into Hollywood. Now PeeCee is growing by leaps and bounds in the international arena and she has no looking back now. The actress has also ventured into film production with regional language films last years. Her films as a producer includes Marathi film Ventilator, Bhojpuri film Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi, Sarvann in Punjabi and recently she announced Sikkimese-Nepalese movie titled Paua (Guest). Now Kay Re Rascalaa is the newest addition to the list and the film has already gone on floors very quietly without the media having any clue of the same.

Priyanka’s associate producer, Kunickaa Sadanand in his statement to Mumbai Mirror said, “I liked the script so much that I shared it with Madhuji, (Priyanka’s mum, Madhu Chopra) and we decided to produce it after Priyanka gave her nod. It’s an entertaining comedy which blends Maharashtrian and South Indian cultures, hence the title Kay Re Rascalaa.” She also revealed that Giridharan had approached PC with a role in that film too. The shooting has begun in Mumbai and soon the team will go to Kolhapur oThr Solapur for their second Schedule. Kay Re Rascalaa stars popular Marathi actors, including Supriya Pathare, Nikhil Ratnaparkhi, Gaurav Ghatnekar, Bhagyashree Mothe, Akshar Kothari, Shrikant Mhase, Aishwarya Sunar, Nihar Gite and Nagesh Bhonsle. In addition to all this we have heard that Priyanka might have something special to do in the film. In her first Marathi film, Ventilator, PeeCee had made a special appearance and also sang a special number titled as Baba. Will she be doing something similar for Kay Re Rascalaa? And Kunickaa says, ”
“In Ventilator there was a role which required an actress but this film doesn’t.
