A tense-filled day awaits Ramsay Street residents on the upcoming episode of “Neighbours.” On Wednesday, Paige (Olympia Valance) may decide to reveal her pregnancy news to her family. The timing may not be perfect, however, since her loved ones are still feeling unsettled with the recent elopement of Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns) and Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel).

Meanwhile, a different kind of tension hounds Ned Willis (Ben Hall) and Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta). It’s clear that the two have unresolved issues, as well as undeniable sexual chemistry, which may lead to a rekindled romance. Other “Neighbours” characters who will appear prominently on the Jan. 18 episode include Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin) and Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall).

“Neighbours” also stars Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey), Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney), Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner), Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond), Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley), Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Meer), David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) and Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano).

“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Wednesday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Elly walks in on a student flirting with Ned – who’s working topless at that time – at school. She asks the student to go back to class and wondered where Ned’s shirt is. Elly fumbles as she talks to Ned, clearly hot and bothered by his presence. “Put your shirt back on before you distract someone else,” Elly says.

Digital Spy reports that Ned is at school as part of his community service, and things quickly heat up at Erinsborough High between the former lovers. Meanwhile, Terese arranges a family lunch with Tyler and Piper, seeking for a diplomatic discussion. However, it launches an emotionally charged family feud among the Willis-Turner family. Piper may further fuel the fire with her baby announcement.

“Neighbours” recap

On Tuesday, Steph flashed back to her unexpected moment with Victoria and struggled to come clean with Mark. She was about to tell him the truth, but chickened out at the last minute. Steph chose to open up to Lauren, admitting that she can’t stop thinking about what happened. Lauren reckoned Steph was feeling neglected by Mark, which is why she responded that way to Victoria. Lauren urged Steph to talk to Mark about it.

Later, Steph tried to but Mark said he didn’t want to talk – he just wanted to be there with her. When Lauren came by to check in on her, Steph had to admit that she didn’t exactly tell the truth to Mark. Steph was confident that it was just a small blip and they should focus on bigger things, like the baby. However, it seemed Victoria wasn’t on the same page – she sent over a bouquet of flowers to Steph. Lauren said that Victoria may have felt something, too.

Meanwhile, Piper and Tyler talked about their decision to run away. Piper didn’t want to return to Erinsborough, but Tyler said they can’t stay away forever and eventually they have to go back. Meanwhile, Mark tried to figure out where the two are and consulted Ned, Elly and Ben. When Mark received a tip that may lead to the location of Tyler and Piper, Ned volunteered to come. Mark hesitated at first but eventually agreed, and the two set out to look for the troubled couple.

The two men finally tracked down the place where Tyler and Piper were staying, but they only walked in on Tyler since Piper headed out to check the local sights. Mark tried to talk some sense to Tyler, who chose to stand his ground. An argument ensued between the two brothers until Ned intervened. Ned asked to talk to Tyler alone, and tried to give the younger Brennan a glimpse of reality, including the consequences of running away.

It seemed Ned’s words hit home and later, when Piper came back to their room, Tyler made his pitch to Piper about going back to Erinsborough. He, however, didn’t say anything about Mark and Ned being there earlier. Later, Tyler and Piper arrived at Ramsay Street and bumped into Ned, who mentioned about going to their motel room to talk to them. Piper felt betrayed, assuming that Tyler’s decision to go back was solely about their future together and wasn’t influenced by anyone.

At the hospital, Paige panicked about losing her baby and David helped her get through the ordeal as they waited for an available ultrasound. Jack arrived and seeing them together, assumed that they’re going out. Later, David checked Paige’s baby and was happy to report that the child is perfectly fine. Afterwards, Paige had an emotional moment talking to her unborn baby and asking it to be strong and hold on.
