Millennium Kids conducted its 7th edition of Malayalam Quiz competition on the theme 'Keralam Nammude Keralam' for Malayalam-speaking students at MES Indian School on January 12-13. The competition was organised for senior and junior categories.Over 620 students comprising 310 teams participated in the preliminary rounds representing 11 different Indian schools in Qatar. Sixty students from the senior category and 72 students from the junior category qualified for the semi-finals and 16 students (eight teams) from each category were selected for the final round. Parents, students and teachers from the Indian community witnessed both the rounds. Yatheendran Master and Biju Mangalathu were the quiz masters for senior and junior categories respectively.
The winners in the Junior Category were Ananya K Manoj and Devajith Mathew of Birla Public School (First Place), Insaf Ahsan and Marsool of Shantiniketan Indian School (Second Place) and Gauthami G Verma and Manha Minar of Dps-Modern Indian School (Third Place).
The winners in the Senior Category were Acksa Raichel Joseph and Chris Francis of Doha Modern Indian School, and Anjali Sajith and Rooth Maria Joshi of Al Khor International School (First Place), Gautham MP and Mihraj of Bhavan's Public School (Second Place) and Aleena Antony and Gopika KV of MES Indian School (Third Place).
Sheela Tomy, Najma Nazeer and Abbas were present at the venue as expert panel members. Pallavi Jigeesh welcomed the participants and guests while Aditya Satish rendered the vote of thanks.
