New Sega Home Textiles opens North American division

Vincent DeRosa and Marla Stuchel head Chinese mill’s Americas operation

New York – Home textiles veterans Vincent DeRosa and Marla Stuchel are openings New Sega Home Textiles’ North American office here to service the U.S., Canadian, South and Central American markets.

Founded in 2004, New Sega Home Textile Co. Ltd produces comforter sets, quilt sets, sheet sets, bedding basics, shower curtains, and window curtains at its state-of-the-art facilities in Nantung, Jiangsu, China. Annual sales run to $60 million for the operation, which is EDI compliant and drop-ship capable.

The North American office is located in Manhattan at 261 Fifth Ave., suite 401. The company will open its U.S. distribution center next month.

DeRosa is vp of sales & marketing for the division and Stuchel is vp of design.

“The timing is right for New Sega to combine our production capabilities with a strong design and sales team so that we can offer these combined strengths directly to the retailer and, ultimately and more importantly, directly to the consumer,” said Sam Wu, company president. “We will use our manufacturing efficiencies and market savvy to create a great new source of home textile products for these markets.”
