Louisville's Wendy Whelan, principal dancer with the New York City Ballet for 25 years, and collaborator Brian Brooks' latest creation features live music by the New York-based string quartet, Brooklyn Rider.

Wendy and Brian will be collaborating closely with Brooklyn Rider in the holistic process that will bring music to the foreground as a dynamic and central creative component, both shaping and being shaped by the evolution of the choreography designed by Brooks.

The new evening is co-commissioned by The Kentucky Center for the Arts, the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, The Joyce Theater and the Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond.
