Bugatti’s Veyron is well known as the world’s fastest car, especially in Super Sport guise where it achieved an independently verified 431km/h at Volkswagen’s Ehra Lessien proving ground.

With 736kW and 1250Nm from its 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16, it is good for a 2.5-second sprint to 100km/h time in standard form.

The Croatian Rimac One is a new kind of supercar, fully-electric with 800kW and 1600Nm going to all four wheels. It also has a state of the art torque vectoring system a 82kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery. It has the advantage of instantaneous electric torque in this contest. Check it out below.
