New plans unveiled for former city centre nightclub

The former Jumpin Jaks nightclub in Gloucester is set for a re-birth as a city nightspot.

Owners Supreme Services (Glos) ltd have applied for planning permission to open the Brunswick Road site again as a nightclub, but with a new separate pub and restaurant.

The company says: "It was well known and popular but was closed down a number of years ago and has been empty since. Supreme Services (Glos) Ltd wish to carry out some alterations and improvements and open it as a nightclub again."

The planning application which will be decided by Gloucester City Council later in the year says the main entrance to the new pub and restaurant will be off Jennings Walk. A new external pedestrian door is proposed off Brunswick Road to provide access to the upper floors which will be separated from the nightclub.

There will also be a beer garden but the external layout of the building will remain the same. Only the internal layouts will be altered to accommodate the new pub and restaurant.
