A BJP delegation, led by Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, on Tuesday, met with the Election Commission over the 'hand' remark made by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
"This is a case of corrupt practices and a clear violation of the model code of conduct. Their symbol (Congress) must be seized," said Naqvi, reported ANI.
"By their statement, they are (Rahul Gandhi/Cong) trying to say that if you're voting for their symbol, you are voting for your religion," he said.
Rahul Gandhi, had in a recent speech, said that he found the 'hand' (Congress party's symbol) in every religious and godly symbol — be it Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism or others.
