Dalit girl gangraped by two upper caste men

FIROZABAD: A 14-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly gangraped by two upper caste men in Nuner Gadi village of Firozabad on Monday. Police have sent the girl for medical examination.
According to police, the incident took place when the girl had gone to a field to attend nature’s call but was dragged into a mustard field by the assailants who allegedly assaulted her sexually. One of the accused is her neighbour. The accused have been booked under the POCSO Act besides relevant sections of IPC and SC/ST Act.
The accused were identified as Monu (22) alias Munnesh, a resident of the same village, and his friend Rohit (24).Both the accused are married. While Monu has been arrested, Rohit is on the run.
The survivor, a student of class IX, lives in Firozabad with her mother and other relatives as her father works in Noida. Her family lodged a police complaint after the girl narrated the entire incident.
SO (Narkhi) Pradeep Yadav said, “The girl was admitted to district woman’s hospital for medical examination and treatment. An FIR has been registered based on the girl’s mother’s complaint.”
