A ward-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty is a part of Appavin Meesai, a crowd-funded venture, directed by actor Rohini.
Though Cheran, Nithya Menen, Pasupathy and Nasser, form the major part of the cast, debutante Hari Prasad plays the lead character. Pookutty took to Twitter and announced his association with the project. Appavin Meesai, based on a real-life incident, is the story of a boy whose money goes missing while he travels from Kolkata to Kanchipuram. How he recovers the money, forms the rest of the story.
The shooting is over, but Rohini is almost done with the post-production work through crowdfunding. Sometime ago, she had posted on a popular crowdfunding website that she was looking for money. While Sreekar Prasad is in charge of editing, Alphonse Roy does the cinematography and Achu Rajamani is the music composer.
